How to Cook Your Seafood

Stovetop Steamer or Boil Method — Add seafood to a pot or steamer and cook covered on medium-high heat for 10 to 15 minutes. Sprinkle SmackEm Seafood seasoning directly into the water for bold flavor.

Shrimp cooks the fastest and will be ready in about 2 to 4 minutes. Shrimp should turn pink when fully cooked.
Sausage should be cooked separately in a skillet with butter and a light dash of seasoning. Cook on medium heat until browned and heated through.
Potatoes take the longest to cook. Boil until soft and fork-tender, which takes about 10 to 12 minutes.

Once all items are fully cooked, place everything into your SmackEm Buckets and move on to Step 2.

Reheat Your Seafood Boil Sauce

Allow your sauce to thaw if frozen before reheating.

Stovetop Best Method

⏱ 3 to 5 minutes

  • Pour sauce into a small pan
  • Heat on low to medium-low
  • Stir frequently until fully melted and hot
Microwave Quick Option

⏱ 1 to 2 minutes

  • Place sauce in a microwave-safe bowl or cup
  • Heat for 30 seconds and stir
  • Continue heating in 20 to 30 second intervals until hot

If Sauce Is Frozen

Stovetop: 5 to 7 minutes  •  Microwave: 1½ to 2 minutes using short intervals, stirring between each

Add the Smack

Egg Roll Instructions

Heat vegetable oil to medium-high heat between 350 and 375 degrees. For best results use a deep fryer. If unavailable, heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.

Fry egg rolls until golden brown:

Thawed Egg Rolls

3 to 5 min

Frozen Egg Rolls

5 to 6 min

Remove from oil and allow to cool slightly.

Warm Seafood Boil Sauce on the stovetop or microwave using 30 second intervals until warm.

Serve egg rolls drizzled or dipped in Seafood Boil Sauce, then dip into Smack Sauce. Garnish with Parmesan cheese and parsley if desired.
